It seems that Fox Army has shown its incompetence yet again. They sent me an OB-GYN referral to a doctor that no longer excepts our insurance. A doctor coincidentally that I told them no longer accepted the insurance over 6 months ago. Apparently when they tell you they will update it in the system they have no actual intentions of doing so!
So I asked my friend Sara who she just went to, and I am going to call the insurance office today and see if I can't just switch to him. I'm not completely sold on the idea of having a male OB but this will be the fastest way to get in to be seen, and find out how far along I am, and it will also help me figure out if I will be able to go home in May for my cousin's and my aunt's weddings. That and as long as I have a doctor if Im not liking him I can always keep looking but at least still have someone to go to in case of emergency.
I havent really been sick yet... I threw up a couple of times yesterday but very little amounts and although I didnt feel great all day, other than being tired I really cant complain. I wonder if that means I just found out really early that I was pregnant, or if this pregnancy is just going to be different than it was with Monk. With Monk, I was soooo sick for four months! It felt like I got sick with him almost the next day after finding out... but then again Hubs says he remembers it differently so there's really no telling lol.
On an AWESOME baby note, my Sister, Jenn, and her partner, Liz,....Basically her wife (except Texas is still behind the times...) have finally found the "CHOSEN"! They have been looking up seed guys, for when they decide to start trying for babies this June!!!! YAY!!! I love the guy they picked. He looks like them but not too much , so there will still be some cute miscellaneous features, but their features will be able to blend into his pretty perfectly! Jenn will be carrying their first child, and they are hoping that when they decide to have their second child that this guy will still be available for Liz to use that way both kiddos will have the same "seed guy"! Isn't that awesome! I love that idea!
Im super excited for my sisters! I think they are going to make wonderful Mommies! And Im excited for my parents to have a grandbaby in their state, and Im excited for me that Im going to have a neice or nephew to spoil... all around Im just super excited!
So Monks visit with the Doctor went well. He is already over his illness, but he did have a slight double ear infection. Nothing major but he is taking antibiotics to get rid of it. He also had to get a breathing treatment, and is using his inhaler again but just for the next few days until his wheezing and coughing stops completely.
I also had a Drs appointment, and I have to say I passed with flying colors. You could say it was a real "positive" experience! I'M PREGNANT!!!!
Hubs and I have been trying for a little over a month, and found out last Weds that I was expecting. I made an appt to have it verified and to make sure it wasnt a false positive, and I am infact pregnant! Yay me!
Since the new baby will share a room with Monk I have found a theme I love and pieces that I think will look great regardless of whether its a boy or girl. The theme will be woodland animals and/or owls. The room is already decorated in my head, and let me tell you, it looks wonderful!
Well we are back home again, and Monk and I have successfully gotten sick :( I am somewhat over it, and Monk's low grade fever has finally diminished no thanks to the Doctor's office. It astounds me that when I told the doctor's office that my 18 month old had been running a fever for FOUR DAYS, and was couging so frequently and so forcefully that at times it sounded like he was choking they said the soonest they could get us in was a week and a half away. I asked them if I could speak with a nurse to see if it was necessary to take him to the emergency room, and the nurse said as long as his fever didnt get above 104 there was no point. She said that if he could cough, he could breathe, and if he could breathe he obviously wasnt choking.... That sounds like an idiots justification for being too lazy to see someone.... But I have been watching Monk, and he seems to be getting better. He has been coughing less, so Ill just keep monitoring him until his appt Monday.
On a different note, Hubs bought a new truck and we discovered that Monk's existing carseat no longer fit in the new backseat... So we swung on over to Target and bought a new one. Its the Eddie Bauer Deluxe High Back Booster. I was a little worried that it looked awfully straight backed, but upon reading the instructions I realized that it reclines into three different positions and was still a full 6" shorter than Monk's previous seat. It also is much deeper so his feet dont hang over quite as much which I think will be much more comfortable on the long road trips we make so often.
Im thinking of upgrading my vehicle in the future to something a little roomier. We are currently trying to concieve and if I were to get pregnant two carseats wouldnt sit all that comfortably (dont get me wrong they would fit...it would just be a tight fit). Im thinking Im either going to go with the new Dodge Durango or just get a Dodge Caravan/Chrysler Town and Country. I've never been a huge fan of the "MOM-mobile" but with us driving 13 hours now and possibly going back to 23 hour drives I think the added room would definitely make the drives a lot easier.
So today we are off to Texas, and I'm excited to get to see family and friends we haven't seen in awhile. Also a local photographer takes Easter photos with live bunnies every year and we will be there in time to take Monk to get his photo taken! Yay, well need to finish packing and cleaning before we take off!
Ill leave you with the latest photo of the kiddo!
